Hamilton Square is a magnificent town square in Birkenhead on the Wirral, Merseyside. This Georgian square, designed by Scottish architect James Graham, has the most Grade I listed buildings outside of London, after Trafalgar Square. The name Hamilton comes from family name of the wife of William Laird who is famous for creating the Cammell Laird shipyards at Birkenhead on the River Mersey. Wikipedia
